ESD GEOPHYSICS is a consulting and operating company dedicated to the Earth Sciences.  It is a sole proprietorship directed by Gilbert Dewart, Ph.D.  Publications, videos and illustrated lectures produced by Dr. Dewart are available to the public.

 

Background of Gilbert Dewart:

Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Geophysics, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Doctorate in Geology and Glaciology, Ohio State University
California Registered Geophysicist No. GP 19
California Community College Credential: geology, geophysics, geography

 

 

Professional Experience:

Worldwide geological, geophysical and glaciological field research supported by the National Science foundation, U.S. Geological Survey, Seismological Laboratory of the California Institute of Technology, Byrd Polar Research Center, Arctic Institute of North America, U.S. Antarctic Program, Cave Research Foundation and Advanced Research Projects Agency. 

This work has involved research on the Nuclear Test Ban, the Great Alaska Earthquake, the “Greenhouse Effect” on polar ice sheets, disposal of over-age Navy explosives, and service as U.S. Exchange Scientist with a Russian Antarctic expedition.

 

  

Current Activities:

Independent energy resource developer; adjunct college instructor in geology, geography and meteorology; Resource Associate with the INTELECOM Distance Education Consortium.
